By default, the Server Command QuickDesignerSecuredParameters:SecuredParameters.xml is pointed to SecuredParameters.xml in ERES root directory. The default SecuredParameters.xml is using hsqldb/.../Woodview database Customers table and Region column. To use it, in the Administrative Console / User List, push on "Set Security Levels" button and select "South". This will allow the selection of user(s) and then Add Member to the existing "South" security level. You can also add new Security level in this panel. Next, click on Server Options" tab and select "Security Options" in the Administrative Console. You can then select the "South" or other added Security Level(s), Click on Enable Security Levels and Update Security Parameter allow you to see and select the CUSTOMER.REGION column of the hsqldb Woodview database. Select security level "South" from drop down menu and click on Update Parameter. List will bring up hsqldb login panel where you can login with username “sa” and no password. Then you will see the values of the REGION column with South already selected by default. Hit Apply Changes, that will assign the region "South" to the members of Security Level "South". Login to QuickDesigner as any member with Sample.xml privilege, of the Security Level "South", create new Report/Chart, select existing Sample/Databases/Woodview(HSQL)/Dataview/Invoicing/Orders and click on “Next” button to create Report/Chart will allow this member to see data only in REGION South of the Orders query and completes the purpose of QuickDesigner Dataview Query Secured Parameters.
